EDUCATOR

Praised for her “expressive virtuosity” (San Francisco Chronicle), mezzo-soprano Meg Bragle is recognized not only for the beauty of her voice but for the depth of connection she brings to every performance. A leading interpreter of Baroque and Classical repertoire, she has performed with major symphony orchestras and early music ensembles throughout North America and Europe. With over twenty recordings to her credit, she is widely recognized as one of America’s foremost mezzo-sopranos.

In addition to her performing career, Meg is deeply committed to education and artist development. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park National Oratorio Competition, a program dedicated to supporting and showcasing emerging singers in oratorio repertoire. She also serves as Artist in Residence at the University of Pennsylvania, where she directs the Collegium Musicum, founded and leads the Opera and Musical Theater Workshop, and mentors a range of student performing arts groups through the Platt Student Performing Arts House. Her work at Penn integrates vocal technique, ensemble musicianship, stagecraft, and historical performance practice—offering students a well-rounded, collaborative musical experience.

Meg brings a student-centered approach to all her teaching, honoring the unique perspective and voice each singer brings into the ensemble or studio. Combining practical experience with technical expertise, she partners with developing singers to nurture growth and build confidence, while offering experienced musicians nuanced guidance, artistic refinement, and creative support.

In demand as a clinician and workshop leader, Meg has designed and led programs for high school and church choirs, small vocal ensembles, university a cappella groups, and has presented masterclasses across the U.S. and U.K. Whether preparing ensembles for performance, recording, or broadcast, her goal remains the same: to help singers connect more deeply with the music—and with their audience.
